A man in Manassas was arrested for not only sexually assaulting a young girl but for also making videos of her at her residence. The man was charged with aggravated sexual battery and child pornography. The child was only 11 years old. The man filmed the girl on more than one occasion and during one of the incidents she was assaulted. The videos took place in her home. It is lucky that the article does not release the name of the child, because this would make a traumatic experience harder. The sad thing about this article is that incidents likes this one are occurring every day. The incident also occurred in her home, meaning that she has to be in the place the trauma occurred every day. Many individuals will blame the parents and tell them all the things they should have done as well. However, it is not their fault, it is the man’s fault. This experience is traumatic for the entire family and everyone involved. In truth, this issue should be traumatic for everyone because in all honesty it just shows us a glimpse into the world our children are going into. It is amazing that the man isn’t facing more charges.
